You are a good parent if you are reading this. Seeking help for your child with behavior issues means that you care and are doing everything you can. Whether your child is two or fourteen, continued bad behavior wears on the whole family. It is difficult to deal with bad grades, flaring tempers, poor choices, or outward defiance. These young years of their life should be positive and filled with good memories, and they can be.

Perhaps the best way to help your child is to take a different perspective: it’s not their fault. It’s not yours either- let me explain. This behavior is an outcry for help. There is something in their body out of balance and subconsciously this is the way they ask for help, please listen to them. Your child is not behaving badly because they want to or because you have done something wrong; it is a sign that something is not right. My job to figure out what that is. Together we can work to fix what is off using natural methods.

The brain and nervous system are what control all of our thinking, acting, and the choices we make every second of the day, AND it is a very sensitive organ. In children with behavioral problems, I often find that they have an irritated nervous system. There are many things that can cause this, some chemical, some structural, most of them correctable.

Children are so rewarding to work with because their young bodies are resilient and often respond wonderfully to natural medicine. My goal is to make a plan that is simple, fits your budget, your lifestyle, and greatly improves the quality of life for your child and your whole family.

Spring is traditionally a fertile time; fruit trees start budding, and birds are busy carrying twigs to build their nests. It seems like everything comes alive and promptly starts to reproduce. For a couple struggling with infertility this can be an especially cruel time.

But it doesn’t have to be. Even if you’ve struggled for years and exhausted every fertility treatment known, you shouldn’t give up hope. Seeking advice from a natural medicine practitioner is great next step, and often a rewarding one!

The body is an amazing machine; every second of the day it is carefully orchestrating cascades of hormone levels that are responsible for, well… keeping you alive. Your body is also a smart machine, and it knows that if it can’t create a healthy pregnancy, well then it just won’t create one at all. We should appreciate this incredible wisdom and work with it, not against it.

Can your structure support a pregnancy? Do you have a strong and sturdy womb? First, the pelvis has to be in line and the ligaments that hold it together need to be strong. I commonly see women who have weak pelvis structure often due to a previous pregnancy, an old injury (slip or fall), or poor dietary habits. The nerves that supply the pelvis and its contents should be working without interference. The organs that are adjacent to the uterus should be healthy and in good working order. For example, if you suffer from constipation you likely have inflammation around your lower intestines, which can irritate your uterus and ovaries.  Anyone of these things is enough to prevent pregnancy. This is just of sample of the things that need to be addressed.

Infertility is a complex issue because it can involve so many different aspects of your body that are all vitally important. This spring as you notice flowers blooming and hints of green emerging from the soil I hope you feel encouraged instead of defeated.
